Byrd Blows On Beacon Hill, opgenomen in 1956 voor het in Boston gevestigde label Transition Records van producer Tom Wilson, presenteerde trompettist Donald Byrd in een ontspannen en intieme kwartetsetting met Doug Watkins op bas, samen met muzikanten uit Boston, Ray Santisi op piano en Jim Zitano op drums. Deze mono Tone Poet Vinyl Edition werd geproduceerd door Joe Harley, gemasterd door Kevin Gray van de originele analoge mastertapes, bij RTI op 180g vinyl geperst en verpakt in een luxe tip-on-hoesje met een boekje.
