Derde album van de Singaporaanse hyperpopster yeule. Na debuutalbum Serotonin II, en het dystopische, synth-gedreven Glitch Princess (2022) is Softscars een rouwplaat. Resultaat: een intrigerende cocktail van dromerige synthpop, Pixies-esque altrock, shoegaze, 00’s emocore en zelfs screamo. Vrij ongrijpbaar, maar dat zijn pijn en rouw ook. Maar Softscars is ook verpletterend mooi.
