Mooi boxje met 7 cd's die Johnny Cash opnam voor Mercury Records.

Na een zeer vruchtbare en langdurige (ruim 30 jaar) relatie met het Columbia platenlabel nam Johnny Cash in 1986 zijn eerste album voor Mercury Records op: Class Of ’55, samen met zijn vorige Sun Records labelmaatjes Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis en Carl Perkins. Zeven jaar later nam hij voor het laatst op bij Mercury, voordat Cash een deal sloot met Rick Rubin’s American Recordings. 

In de jaren die zeven jaren nam Cash in totaal zes albums op voor Mercury. De afgelopen jaren is er altijd veel aandacht voor Cash's Columbia- en American opnames geweest. Zijn Mercury-catalogus is in die periode nooit opnieuw onderhanden genomen die eigenlijk gezien kan worden al een overbruggingsperiode tussen zijn Columbia en zijn American opnames. 

De albums zijn opnieuw gemastered, hiervoor zijn de originele masters van Mercury Records gebruikt.
